About This Road
Route 12 is perfect for a weekend cruise. It's scenic, has plenty of places to pull out and take a hike, there are even hot springs! The road surface is good, but traffic can be heavy, so don't plan on setting any speed records here. Roll down the windows, turn up a good album, and enjoy the beauty of Idaho mountains.
Note: if you come through Hamilton, MT, make sure you stop at Nap's Grill for their Charbroiled Chicken sandwich; it's fantastic!
